On Reputation and The Religion of Your Daily Life

It’s a lesson we all have to learn eventually – you can’t please everyone. Along the same lines is also this truth, your reputation won’t be worth much to some people. So you have to choose carefully, the reputation you build for yourself with the life you live. You have to decide just who it is you want to connect to and be respected among the most. You have to consider where to best assert your energy.

Sometimes you have to choose between two entities that you really don’t want to have to choose between. Sometimes, people will think things about you that aren’t true. People will come to a conclusion with just a tiny bit of true information and a ton of speculation and they will brand you something in their own mind, in their own world. You can’t control that.

What you can do is be sure that you are making choices and living a life that lines up with the person you hope to be. When it all comes down and the lights go out, you alone are responsible for how you live your own life, and nothing else.
